Increase Funding For Education Without Raising Taxes

Education is the foundation of opportunity for all Arizonans. A strong education system creates a strong workforce, fuels economic growth, and sustains a healthy, thriving democracy. Every Arizona student deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of their zip code, background, or circumstances.

We don’t invest enough in Arizona schools. That’s why Arizona continues to rank near the bottom nationally in per-student funding and overall education outcomes, reflecting years of underinvestment in our future. At the same time, our state is uniquely positioned with significant resources that should be working for our kids, our teachers, and our schools.

Arizona owns approximately 9 million acres of trust land and maintains a $9.9 billion endowment fund dedicated to the benefit of education. Nick will approach these assets with a long-term, disciplined strategy, improving how they are managed so we can generate greater and more reliable funding for Arizona’s classrooms without raising taxes on families or businesses.

Eliminate Waste, Fraud & Abuse

Arizona taxpayers deserve to know where their money is going and how it is being managed. Nick will demand transparency, oversight, and accountability in every decision made by the Treasurer’s Office, because public trust depends on it. Too often, taxpayer dollars are spent in ways that lack proper scrutiny, including misuse within programs like the ESA voucher program for homeschooled children, where funds have been reported to be used for items such as jewelry, kitchen appliances, vacations, lingerie, and other non-educational purchases.

This is unacceptable. The Treasurer can and should act to stop this waste and abuse immediately, and Nick will make it a priority to ensure these funds are protected, properly overseen, and used strictly for their intended educational purposes - just like he did as a former CEO.

Create Good Jobs

Growth and good jobs mean more opportunities for all Arizonans. The Treasurer plays a vital role in attracting and retaining new companies, creating jobs, and strengthening our small business ecosystem. Nick has built companies and created jobs, and will work with Arizona agencies to grow our economy in a long - term, sustainable way.

Govern Responsibly

Our politics have become too extreme. We need leaders who will focus on the most important issues, work together to find solutions, and fix problems. Arizona has a long history of electing independent-minded people who do what’s best for our state, and Nick fits that mold.

Nick will keep extreme political agendas out of the Treasurer’s Office and the investment of our State funds, and instead will invest our funds safely and responsibly - focusing on supporting counties, cities, and local governments in managing their funds to best serve their residents.
